Yes the Boon Report is a great addition to the investor's reading list with sharp and incisive analysis and full disclosure. You can feel the enthusiasm jumping off the screen.
This is a first time holding in Rio for me. I don't particularly like the company, but as an investment, I can get over that.
Obviously, the world economic situation will impact greatly on Rio (and other miners') share price, but I am hoping that within a year, I'll see a 20% to 25% return, including dividends. This is purely based on the recent price activity of Rio, as it gently moves up and down, nothing more scientific or deep, I'm afraid.
As for long term, well, we'll see... if the prices moves as I hope, but the world economy feels the same as now, then I might well sell up and wait for another buy opportunity, though just as easily, I may well hold on.
I'd also like to buy into Blackrock World Mining Trust #BRWM for a more balancedand hopefully rewarding way of holding mining shares, but that will have to wait for another day and funds...

Thank you! That's such a good compliment and made my Friday :)
Good and thought provoking read, as ever, Boon. Thanks. And congratulations on your performance!
As coincidence would have it, I opened a position in Rio yesterday. I think at the current price, it's as good an entry point as any
Regards,
Jon
Thank you! Glad to hear my words are having an impact.
Have you held Rio Tinto before? What sort of upside potential do you see? Are you planning to hold it for a short term or long term?
